Brandy Manetta, FNP-C, IFM-C, obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2009 after many years working as a nurse in Methodist Trauma center, St. Francis ER, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway infield hospital.Once she obtained her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Brandy worked at IU Health West Emergency department in Avon, IN for over 6 years. She was the director of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for four of these years.Brandy frequently saw many patients return as they couldn't find the root cause or even a 'fix' to their symptoms. This prompted Brandy to explore other types of medicine where she found functional medicine. Brandy began working at a functional practice 2014 until July 2020.Brandy believes that there is a place for both traditional and functional medicine through a direct patient care model that allows her to have fewer patients, lower cost, and the flexibility to create plans that are unique to each patient.Brandy obtained her certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2019 after 3 years of study and passing a written exam as well as a peer reviewed case study. This elite group exists of just over 1000 providers across the country. Brandy is licensed to prescribe medications.Brandy is a wife of almost 20 years, a mother to four, a daughter, an active Christian, friend, and wears many other titles!
