Cynthia Richards, MD

Dr. Cynthia Richards is a board-certified family medicine physician at Hearthstone Family Medicine in Ruckersville, Virginia, with 18 years of experience.

A Charlottesville native, she spent eight years in rural practice in Haywood County, North Carolina, before returning to her hometown in 2009. She earned a BA in English from Dartmouth College, completed post-baccalaureate premedical training at Stanford, then came back to Charlottesville for medical school at the University of Virginia. Her residency took her to Valley Medical Center, a University of Washington affiliate in Renton, Washington.

A rower with the Rivanna Rowing Club, she also enjoys hiking, running and contra dancing.
