Vance Lassey, MD

Dr. Vance Lassey practices family medicine at Holton Direct Care in Holton, a practice he founded in 2016. He earned dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Kansas before completing his M.D. at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then served as Chief Resident of the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program in Salina, Kansas, where he was honored for teaching and writing along with the national AAFP Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education.

Lassey has lived and worked in Holton since 2007, when he began practicing full-spectrum family medicine at Holton Community Hospital. Frustrated with the limits of the fee-for-service system, he left it to open Holton Direct Care, guided by his long-standing mantra of putting patients first. He now offers the access, attention, and time direct primary care allows for less than a cable or cell phone bill.

He is also a founding member of the national Direct Primary Care Alliance and served two years as its President.
