Elizabeth Cooley, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Cooley is a board-certified family medicine physician and founder of Hometown Family Medicine PLLC in New Hartford. After years working within large area healthcare systems, she came to believe that primary care needed to move away from rushed, transactional visits and toward something more personalized, preventative and comprehensive. Direct primary care lets her restore that patient-doctor relationship, built on real access and consistency rather than squeezed-in appointments.

Born and raised in Central New York, Dr. Cooley earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Middlebury College and later graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She completed an internship in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Upstate, then a family medicine residency at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, before returning home to practice in the community where she grew up. She has been part of that medical community since 2010.

She and her husband have three children, and in her free time she enjoys running and horseback riding.
