Dr. Elizabeth Cooley is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and the founder of Hometown Family Medicine PLLC. Her vision is to transform how healthcare is delivered with direct primary care; an innovative, alternative path to the insurance-based system.
After working for several large healthcare systems in the area, Dr. Cooley realized the focus needs to shift from rushed, transactional visits to personalized, preventative and comprehensive care that empowers patients to live healthier lives. Direct Primary Care restores the patient-doctor relationship and understands the importance of access and consistency.
Born and raised in Central New York, Dr. Cooley received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Middlebury College. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, completed her internship in obstetrics & gynecology at SUNY Upstate and her residency in family medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse.
She returned home to Central New York and has been active in our medical community since 2010. When she's not caring for patients she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, running and horseback riding.
