Dr. Pai-Verma began her medical career at Pennsylvania Hospital/University of Pennsylvania Health System in 1996 as a resident in internal medicine.
In 2000, after completing her medical training, she began practice in Chicago at a hospital-based suburban medical group.
During her time at the Gunnar Medical Group, she was awarded a certificate of recognition for a resident teaching program from the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University in Chicago in 2005 and in 2006.
She joined Rush University Medical Center in 2009 as clinical faculty and served as medical director of Internal Medicine at Rush and continued working as faculty at Rush until 2019.
She is board certified in internal medicine and was inducted as a Fellow by the American College of Physicians in 2015.
She is an active member of the medical staff at Rush University Medical Center.
