Kara Cox, M.D., is a board certified family medicine physician with added qualifications in sports medicine at Immediate Medical Care in Wichita.
Cox earned a bachelor's degree in science from Friends University before going on to KU Medical School for a medical degree. Training continued locally, with a residency in family medicine through KU at Via Christi followed by a fellowship in sports medicine, also with KU at Via Christi. That combination of family medicine and sports medicine training shapes a practice built around whole-person primary care alongside injury and activity-related concerns.
