Cindy Rubin, MD

Cindy Rubin is a general pediatrician and certified lactation consultant at In Touch Pediatrics and Lactation, PLLC in Westchester.

She didn't set out to become a doctor. Growing up, she pictured herself as a writer or a dolphin trainer. It wasn't until a year of volunteer work in Israel after college that she found the confidence to pursue medicine, despite an aversion to handling vomit that once seemed like it might rule out the career entirely.

Rubin spent the first 18 years of her career as a general pediatrician, including 13 years in outpatient practice, where she developed a strong interest in breastfeeding. She earned her lactation consultant certification in 2019 and went on to pursue additional training in breastfeeding medicine.
