Juan Carlos Venis, MD MPH FAAFP AAHIVS
Dr. Juan Carlos Venis is a family doctor and founder of INcircle Health in downtown Indianapolis. He lives here and speaks both English and Spanish, which helps him connect with many kinds of patients.
He is half Mexican, which adds a personal dimension to his understanding of diverse cultures and communities. He started this clinic to offer healthcare that is personal, easy to access, and focused on building strong doctor-patient relationships.
He believes patients are key to their own health, and his job is to support and guide them in making lasting, positive changes. He focuses on prevention, managing chronic illnesses, and lifestyle medicine.
He is board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine, as well as a credentialed HIV medicine specialist. Since 2017, he has taught at Indiana University School of Medicine and has served on the Board of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians.
He earned his B.A. in Biology, cum laude from Wabash College (2009), his M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine (2014), and his M.P.H. from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2014). He completed his Family Medicine Residency at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital (2017) and the HIV Clinician Scholars Program at the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center (2022).
