Born in Scotland to an American military family, Dr. Edmonds grew up outside Seattle and joined the military after high school. An Air Force Academy graduate, he spent his 20s on active duty, then earned his MD from Penn State. He completed his family medicine residency in Klamath Falls. Dr. Edmonds has been a full-spectrum family physician, rural health clinic medical director, hospitalist, and spent five years as chief medical officer for a critical access hospital. He has been a hospice medical director since 2015. He founded Independent Medicine DPC to provide affordable, evidence-based healthcare to hard-working people and their families.
