Matthew Edmonds, MD

Dr. Matthew Edmonds is a family physician at Independent Medicine, DPC in Klamath Falls. Born in Scotland to an American military family, he grew up outside Seattle and enlisted after high school before attending the Air Force Academy. He spent his twenties on active duty, then went on to earn his MD from Penn State and completed his family medicine residency right there in Klamath Falls.

Over the years he has worked as a full-spectrum family physician, a rural health clinic medical director, and a hospitalist, and he spent five years as chief medical officer for a critical access hospital. He has served as a hospice medical director since 2015. Drawing on that broad background, he founded Independent Medicine DPC to bring affordable, evidence-based care to hard-working people and their families.
