Paula Frantz, MD

Dr. Paula Frantz founded Inspire Health Direct Primary Care in Sterling, Colorado. A Kansas native who once milked cows on a family dairy, she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education before completing her pre-med work at Kansas State University and her MD at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After training in family practice at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where she served as chief resident in her final year, she spent two years in public health service in Colorado. She then settled in Sterling.

Before starting her own practice, she worked nearly eight years in the emergency department at Sterling Regional Med Center. This was followed by close to nine years with the Colorado Department of Corrections, including five as chief medical officer, and then three years at Colorado Plains Physicians Practices. Frustrated with rushed visits and insurance-driven care, she opened Inspire Health in 2015 and now focuses on teaching patients about their health and coaching them through their own decisions.

She lives outside Fleming with her husband, two dogs, and four farm cats. She spends her free time gardening, birdwatching, stargazing, and knitting.
