Quoc Phan, MD

Dr. Phan lives in Olympia with his lovely wife and teenage daughter. He's been caring for our local community since 2014. He has practiced at Capital Medical Center, Nisqually Tribal Health, and most recently, at Providence. But he recognizes that our current healthcare system is broken.

Large hospital systems have bought out local small practices. It's no longer feasible to operate a small clinic and compete in today's corporate world of medical insurance. He's frustrated with the rush paced appointments of approximately 10 mins of face-to-face time with patients. He found himself spending hours typing in the EHR, clicking endless boxes to meet arbitrary quality measures no patient ever asked for, fighting ridiculous insurance denials and mind numbing prior authorizations instead of spending time where it matters most, with his patients.

Dr. Phan decided to leave the safety net of being a hospital employee to embark on a new adventure as a solo practitioner. He seeks more autonomy on how healthcare should be delivered and wants to be able to spend more time with his patients. He wants to be available when patients need him most.

He embraces the Direct Primary Care model which has been steadily gaining traction over the years. He endeavors to return the sacred doctor-patient relationship to where it was always meant to be: at the forefront of healthcare where it belongs.
