Belinda Castor, MD

Belinda Castor is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. Having earned her BS degree with honors from Albany College of Pharmacy, she attended SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, earning her MD. After her internship and residency there, she became Chief Resident.

Dr. Castor joined Tarrytown Internal Medicine Associates in 1992. She also was Medical Director of Credentialing for a major health insurance company, where she reviewed pre-approval for procedures, treatments, and medications. These experiences revealed the inefficiencies of health systems and insurers.

In 1999, Dr. Castor headed to Romania as a medical missionary. Her innovative humanitarian efforts volunteering with the Romanian Evangelistic Medical Mission (REMM) and working with World Vision, World Learning, and other NGOs helped her identify urgent needs and she lobbied American and European Union officials on behalf of abandoned Romanian children. In Romania, she expanded her knowledge of alternative treatments.
