Belinda Castor, MD

Belinda Castor is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Integra Direct Primary Care in Manchester. She earned her BS with honors from Albany College of Pharmacy, then went on to SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse for medical school, internship, and residency, later serving as chief resident there.

Dr. Castor joined Tarrytown Internal Medicine Associates in 1992, and she went on to serve as Medical Director of Credentialing for a major health insurance company, reviewing pre-approval requests for procedures, treatments, and medications. That work gave her a close look at the inefficiencies built into both health systems and insurers.

In 1999 she traveled to Romania as a medical missionary, volunteering with the Romanian Evangelistic Medical Mission and partnering with organizations including World Vision and World Learning to identify urgent needs on the ground. She lobbied American and European Union officials on behalf of abandoned Romanian children, and her time there also broadened her knowledge of alternative treatments.
