John Gross

Dr. John A. Gross is a well-established and highly respected physician in the Tampa Bay area for more than 13 years, considered a leader in both the medical and civic community.His expertise in sports medicine and primary care are coupled with his reputation for seeing each patient as a unique individual, taking into account lifestyle, history, age, environment, values, and outlook for a healthy future.He believes a good doctor-patient relationship begins with trust, and his personalized approach is a refreshing change from cookie-cutter care often found in larger insurance-driven health systems.He serves as the head team medical physician for the Tampa Bay Rays and currently serves as President of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.Dr. Gross earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed his residency in family medicine and fellowship in sports medicine at Bayfront Medical Center, and holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
