Andrew Johnstone, RPh, MD

Dr. Andrew Johnstone is a family physician at Johnstone Family Practice in Indianapolis. He trained first as a pharmacist, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati, then earned his medical degree cum laude from Indiana University and completed his Family Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital. He has practiced continuously in the Greenwood area since 1988.

He chose to remain independent rather than join a large hospital network, having seen how that path often brings higher costs, lower quality, and misplaced priorities. His pharmacy background left him thoughtful and appropriately skeptical of the pharmaceutical industry, and while he values the place of traditional medicine, he is candid about its limits.

For lasting health, he leans on nutrition, physical activity, and sensible use of supplements, favoring gentle intervention earlier in life over aggressive fixes like bypass surgery or joint replacement once decades of damage have already set in.
