Marisa Hoyne, MD

Dr. Marisa Hoyne is a physician board certified in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine at Kalispell Direct Care in Kalispell, Montana. A Kalispell native, she came home to practice after years of training far from Montana.

She studied human biology at Stanford before earning her medical degree from the University of Arizona in Phoenix, where her classmates chose her for the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award and the clinical faculty's award for Best in Internal Medicine. Her three years of Internal Medicine residency took her through the Banner Good Samaritan and Carl T. Hayden V.A. Medical Centers in Phoenix, and she later trained through Columbia and Harvard in Obesity Medicine, becoming board certified in that field in 2020.

Her interests run toward obesity and the conditions that travel with it, things like diabetes, fatty liver, PCOS, and sleep apnea, along with an unusual fondness for iron deficiency and statistics. She and her husband, Matt, have two daughters, and she spends her free time hiking, gardening, and cooking with her family.
