Rick Henriksen, MD

Rick Henriksen, M.D., is a board-certified family physician at Kestrel Wellness in Salt Lake City.

Henriksen brings more than a decade of experience blending ancestral health principles with western, integrative, and functional medicine, aiming for long-term, whole-body wellness rather than quick fixes. Frustration with the gaps in today's healthcare model led Henriksen to found Kestrel Wellness, drawing on a perspective built over years of training and teaching.

Henriksen earned a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and completed family medicine residency at the University of Utah. A seven-year stretch as an Assistant Professor in the university's Department of Family and Preventive Medicine followed, teaching residents and medical students. Henriksen also holds a Master of Public Policy focused on health policy and completed a fellowship in integrative medicine through the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
