Dr. Koretz grew up on Lake Ontario in Upstate New York, outside of Rochester, NY, and was very involved in dance during her school-age years.
In 2007 she completed her undergraduate degree at The Pennsylvania State University, majoring in Biobehavioral Health with minors in Biology and Neuroscience.
From 2007-2008 she gained hospital experience as a patient care technician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside Hospital in a cardiac step-down unit.
In 2012 Dr. Koretz graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV.
In 2015 she completed her Family Medicine residency training with Mercy Health in Muskegon, MI.
After residency, she moved to Asheville, NC and worked in Waynesville, NC and Lake Lure, NC before deciding to open her own practice.
Dr. Koretz enjoys mountain biking, hiking, running, camping and swimming in the great outdoors, which ultimately brought her to Asheville.
Her favorite thing about being a family doctor is the ability to develop close relationships with her patients and help them understand and manage their health throughout their lives.
