Leslie Ann Banks, DNP, ARNP, AGNP-C

Leslie Ann Banks is a board-certified nurse practitioner at LaBanks Medical Services in Pembroke Pines, licensed across more than twenty states and focused on preventive health and chronic disease management. She started her nursing career in 2011 in long-term care and sub-acute settings, where she found her calling in caring for vulnerable patients who needed steady, attentive medical support.

From there she built her education steadily, earning a BSN from Florida International University in 2017, an MSN in 2021, and a DNP in 2023. Her doctoral capstone research centered on obesity management education in primary care, a subject that carries personal meaning for her. She has managed her own weight for years and now uses GLP-1 compounds as part of that ongoing effort, which shapes how she approaches the same conversation with her patients.
