Dr. Tristan Brooks is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) who is double board certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine.
She holds Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and serves as a Clinical Instructor for Florida State University's Breastfeeding Counselor Course.
A Pensacola native, Dr. Brooks brings diverse life experience to her patients. After a first career in public education, she earned her medical degree from VCOM-Carolinas and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
After graduation, she worked in corporate outpatient primary care until the birth of her son, and is now excited to serve the community she knows and loves.
As a D.O., Dr. Brooks received additional training in Musculoskeletal medicine, which she finds invaluable in looking at the whole person. She believes in evidence-based practices, curiosity, and ensuring patients feel heard.
Her special interests include non-pharmacological interventions for chronic disease, breastfeeding education and support, and serving the gap in postpartum care. She herself used Lifestyle Medicine changes to lose 60 pounds over two years.
Dr. Brooks believes in being proactive rather than reactive, and strives for wellness, prevention, and authenticity in her care.
