Laurie Birkholz, MD, NCMP

Dr. Laurie Birkholz is a board-certified family medicine physician and fellowship-trained women's health specialist at Laurie Birkholz, MD & Assoc. in Holland, Michigan. She brings more than 20 years of experience in primary care and women's health, with an approach centered on lifestyle medicine, prevention, and whole-person care.

Her clinical interests include menopause management, sexual health, and gynecologic care, and she focuses on helping patients through midlife health transitions with clarity and evidence-based treatment. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed residency and fellowship training in Milwaukee and West Allis, Wisconsin. She has practiced since 2006 and founded her current practice in 2020, a Ms.Medicine concierge model built around gender-specific primary care and office gynecology.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Birkholz lectures on women's health topics and serves as Associate Medical Director for Ms.Medicine, a national organization focused on advancing women's health care.
