Lara Briseno Kenney, MD

Dr. Lara Briseno Kenney is a board certified internal medicine physician with additional specialty training and board certification in hematology, oncology, and hospice and palliative care, practicing at Leeton Medical in Leeton.

Raised on the West Coast, she moved to the Midwest in 1997 for medical school and graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. Seven years of active duty with the United States Army followed, during which she completed her internal medicine training at Fort Sam Houston and deployed several times in support of the Military Police Corps. Back in Kansas City for further hematology oncology training, she met and married her husband, and in 2014 the couple moved to his hometown of Clinton, Missouri to raise a family.

Patients describe her as smart, down to earth, honest, and practical, and she takes a genuine personal interest in every patient she sees. She also has a soft spot for good food, family, fellowship, and horses.
