Victor M. Peña, MD

Dr. Victor M. Peña is a board certified family physician at Legacy Family Doctors (Legacy Direct Primary Care) in Naples. Born and raised in Cuba, he moved to Texas at seventeen and went on to study pre-medicine at the University of Texas Pan American. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at West Kendall Baptist Hospital in partnership with FIU, in Miami.

Before settling into direct primary care, Dr. Peña worked as a hospitalist, an experience that shaped his interest in building long-term relationships with patients rather than treating isolated episodes of illness. He has also provided medical care internationally in Haiti and northern India, giving him a broad view of how care can be delivered in very different settings.

That range of experience carries into his approach at Legacy Family Doctors, where he focuses on preventive care and getting to know his patients over time.
