Chelsey Kahanowitch, DO
Dr. Chelsey Kahanowitch is a board certified family medicine physician and the founding physician member of Liberty Direct Primary Care in Westlake Village. She earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016 and completed her residency at Northridge Hospital's Family Medicine Residency Program. She then spent five years as a family medicine doctor with Adventist Health Simi Valley before moving into direct primary care to give patients a more accessible, preventive approach to their health.
With a background in athletic training, she has a particular interest in working with athletes, and she spent five years teaching at Agoura Hills High School, where she founded the school's sports medicine program. That mix of medical training and love of sports and fitness shapes how she helps patients reach their own health goals.
She and her husband Brett are raising three children, Rowyn, Rowdy and Rocky Mae, and she enjoys riding horses and surfing when she gets the chance.
