Dr. Eric Gerchman, M.D., grew up watching his dad practice family medicine. He taught Eric the meaning of being a doctor who puts patients first by listening, understanding, and caring for the people he was privileged to serve.
Eric dreamed of following in his father's footsteps, which inspired him to attend medical school in 1991. He understood the importance of evidence-based medicine was dependent on the relationship with each individual patient.
Eric moved to Maine with his wife and four young children in 1999. He and his wife, Denyell, raised their family in the town of Denmark.
Denyell works as a pharmacist at Stephen's Memorial Hospital. Eric has been with several organizations that taught him a great deal, and he is grateful for the time he spent at each one.
Denyell and Eric enjoy spending their free time in the great outdoors of Maine, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, and working on projects in and around their home. They both are grateful to have been a part of some amazing mission trips as well.
