Eric Gerchman, MD

Dr. Eric Gerchman practices family medicine at Living Well Family Medicine in Bridgton, Maine. He grew up watching his father practice family medicine, and that example shaped how Eric thinks about the job, listening to patients, understanding them, and caring for the people he serves.

Eric followed his father into medicine, entering medical school in 1991 with a belief that evidence-based care only works when it grows out of a real relationship with each patient. He moved to Maine in 1999 with his wife Denyell and their four young children, and the family put down roots in Denmark. Denyell works as a pharmacist at Stephen's Memorial Hospital, and Eric has carried lessons from each organization he has worked with along the way.

The two of them spend their free time outdoors, hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking around Maine, along with projects around their home, and they have also taken part in several mission trips together.
