Dr. Hendrick has been practicing family medicine in Wenatchee since 2010. Initially in her career, she delivered babies and took care of patients in the hospital and was able to truly enjoy practicing "old school" full spectrum medicine. She was born in the Philippines and lived in the mountains where there were no indoor plumbing, electricity nor cars.
She immigrated with her mother to a small town in Michigan when she was 12 years old. She went to Michigan State University on a research scholarship while working at least 3 jobs and graduated with a Bachelor of Science - Physiology, with a specialization in health and humanities.
She was a research assistant at MSU for 4 years and has co-authored papers on synthesizing a protein to help diagnose and treat various diseases including hepatitis B and cancer. She was awarded a 4-year National Health Service Scholarship and went to medical school for free at Michigan State!
Because her adoptive father urged her to go to this beautiful state of Washington, she decided to do her family medicine residency here at Valley Family Medicine-Renton, WA. She then fell in love with the state and subsequently fell in love with her wonderful husband.
Dr. Hendrick speaks English, Spanish, Tagalog and Cebuano.
