Family Medicine has always been my calling.
I love being there for my patients in every situation, from pediatric development to diabetes to terminal diagnosis like cancer.
As I progressed through training I learned more and more about the problems with health care access and delivery.
I was shocked to realize the standard health care model expected me to see patients every 15 minutes.
After residency I began practicing outside of the large hospital systems, hoping I was avoiding the bureaucracy and red tape around health care.
While I was fortunate to be in private practice, this did not eliminate all the barriers.
I experienced health insurance companies dictating which patients I saw, for what health conditions and how I treated them.
I spent time in meetings and documenting special codes for the insurance company. Time I could have spent with my patients.
Admittedly, I never knew how much the patient would be charged, further adding to my frustration with the health care system.
I created Magnolia Medical Direct Primary Care so I could take care of my patients on their terms.
I want to be available to my patients - for emails or for same day appointments.
I aim to know every patient personally and dedicate the time they deserve.
I will deliver health care with transparent pricing, so none ever receives a surprise bill from my office.
I grew up in the metro Detroit area. My husband and I moved to the Grand Blanc area during medical school and immediately felt at home.
I love sports and outdoor activities. My favorite hike is rim-to-rim and I am 7 states into my goal to run a marathon in every state.
