Heather Bertelson

Dr. Heather Bertelson is a board certified internal medicine physician at Maia Primary Care and Wellness in Arvada. She trained at Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Aurora Internal Medicine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She finds real satisfaction in the variety that internal medicine offers, and she likes partnering with patients toward their own health goals rather than dictating them. Helping people feel better day to day and preventing disease down the road are both things she cares about equally.

After residency she headed to Colorado, drawn by the mountains and the sunshine. These days she spends her free time camping, skiing and hiking with her husband and their dogs, and when she gets the chance, she straps on a tank and goes scuba diving.
