Dr. Stacy Blecher is a board-certified internal medicine physician at MALI, the Metabolism & Longevity Institute, in Mount Pleasant. She spent a decade practicing inpatient medicine at one of Charleston's major hospitals, caring for some of the sickest and most vulnerable patients in the state. That work revealed a pattern that stuck with her. Many patients were living with obesity and multiple chronic conditions rooted in poor metabolic health, yet few were getting care aimed at those root causes.
She also saw women in their 60s and 70s facing cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance, recurrent UTIs and preventable injuries like hip fractures alongside their weight struggles. Those experiences pushed her toward earlier intervention and prevention. Now she puts her energy into helping patients reclaim their health and quality of life, blending medical expertise with compassionate, personalized care built around long-term wellness.
