Christina Piron, MD

Dr. Christina Piron practices pediatrics at MamaDoc NJ in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Born in New Orleans and raised in northwest Ohio, she studied biomedical engineering at Boston University before earning her medical degree at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton. She went back to New Orleans for residency in pediatrics at Tulane-Ochsner, where she served as chief resident, then began her career at a local FQHC.

She brings broad experience in general pediatrics, from clinical visits to urgent care, along with behavioral and developmental screening and management. Breastfeeding support and maternal-child health are particular interests of hers.

She met her husband, Tyler, while both were living in New Orleans, and the two eventually settled back on the Jersey Shore where he grew up. They now live in Little Silver with their two children and their dog, Zuzu.
