Leigh LoPresti, MD

Dr. Leigh LoPresti is a family physician at Manchester Direct Family Practice in Manchester Center, Vermont. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1983 and completed his family medicine residency at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in 1986.

His path since then has run through two HMOs in Massachusetts and Minnesota, a private practice back in Manchester Center, and nearly a decade teaching residents and medical students, including a research fellowship. After years in various employed positions, he opened Manchester Direct Family Practice in 2024, thrilled to be practicing in Manchester again. He has published nine articles in the medical literature and still tells his students that family medicine is the most fun you can have with a medical license, and a deep honor besides.

A Long Island native who left home after high school, he and his wife made a point of taking their two daughters to all 50 states over thirteen years.
