Deb Thorne, DMSc, MS, PA, CIPP

Deb Thorne, DMSc, is a physician assistant and the founder of Medicina Del Sol Integrative Healthcare in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

She started the practice after seeing firsthand how disjointed and broken the healthcare system had become for both patients and providers, and set out to build something different. What began as a 400 square foot adobe room has since grown into a 4,000 square foot space on Missouri Street in Las Cruces.

In 2023 her spouse and business partner, Hector Lerma, MD, joined the practice, adding internal medicine to what Medicina Del Sol offers patients. Together they've built the practice around the kind of care Thorne felt was missing when she first started out.
