Dr. Michel Accad is a board-certified cardiologist and the Medical Director of Athletic Heart of San Francisco. He has over 20 years of clinical experience and currently serves as an assistant professor of cardiology at UCSF. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He was selected as Chief Medical Resident at the Texas Medical Center and completed his fellowship and research training at UCSF. His professional background includes serving as the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Kaiser San Francisco hospital. In addition to his clinical work, he runs a private solo practice in internal medicine and cardiology, contributes to peer-reviewed academic medical journals, and works in therapeutic device development. He is also the author of a book regarding trends in modern medicine and edits a professional blog focusing on medicine and philosophy.
