Matthew Haden, MD, MPH, MBA

Dr. Matthew Haden is the founder of MODERN Mobile Medicine, a house call primary care practice in Arlington. He trained in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, and it was during residency that he first grew convinced insurance-based primary care was not built to last.

That conviction only deepened after training. Within five years of finishing residency, only one of his Family Medicine colleagues was still practicing primary care. The rest had moved into clinical research, ACO management, or weight loss medicine, highly trained physicians pushed out of the work they had trained to do because the traditional system would not let them do it.

Watching that happen was what pushed Dr. Haden to start MODERN Mobile Medicine. He built it to give primary care doctors room to practice the way they were trained to, without insurance bureaucracy standing in the way.
