Virginia Alvord, MD

Dr. Virginia Alvord is a board-certified family medicine physician at Monarch Family Medicine in Lyme, certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and licensed with the New Hampshire Board of Medicine since 1997.

Over the past two decades she has practiced in a range of settings, from private practice at Summit Medical Group to an employed role at the small rural Littleton Regional Hospital, and most recently within the larger Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center system. What drew her to the Upper Valley was the chance to be an active part of a small New England community and really get to know her patients and their families.

Home is a busy one, shared with her three children and two dogs, and after twenty years she is still taken with the natural beauty of the Upper Valley, the Lakes Region, and the White Mountains.
