Kicki Searfus, MD

Dr. Kicki Searfus is a board certified family physician at Mountain View Family HealthCare in Durango, Colorado, providing care from pediatrics through geriatrics. She earned her undergraduate degree in physiology at the University of California, Davis, her medical degree from UCSF, and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Utah before spending a decade in academic medicine at UC San Diego.

She has practiced in Durango since 2006, having moved from San Diego for a community that offered an active lifestyle and a healthy place to raise her two sons. When she joined Mountain View Family HealthCare in 2012, she became part of the growing direct primary care movement, where the physician-patient relationship comes first rather than insurance billing. She also holds an additional certification in hospice and palliative care medicine and has spent years as medical director of a local hospice.

Searfus values having enough time with each patient to dig into problems in depth and identify what stands in the way of their health. That focus led her to create Mountain View TLC, bringing specialists in nutrition, fitness and behavioral health together under one roof alongside her primary care practice.
