Justin Rushing, MD

Dr. Justin Rushing is a board-certified family medicine physician at My Cullman Doctor in Cullman, Alabama. Originally from Arab, Alabama, he studied biology at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and went through the Rural Medicine program at Auburn University before earning his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his family medicine residency at Floyd Medical Center, a community hospital in Rome, Georgia.

After three years at a local multi-specialty practice, Dr. Rushing made the move to direct primary care, believing it let him build closer relationships with patients and tailor their care in a way insurance-based medicine did not allow.

He and his wife Julia settled in Cullman in 2020, drawn by the community's traditions and values and looking for a place to put down roots and raise a family.
