Emily Gavel, APRN, FNP-C

Emily Gavel is a nurse practitioner at Native Health Primary Care in Port Saint Lucie. From a young age she was fascinated by the many threads that shape a person's overall health, and that curiosity carried her into medicine looking for the why behind disease rather than just its symptoms.

She began her career as a registered nurse, then found her ambitions reached beyond caregiving alone toward closing the health disparities she saw around her. At Native Health Primary Care, she combines conventional and functional medicine to get at root causes, aiming to pair thorough, compassionate care with the knowledge patients need to take charge of their own well-being.

She is married to a former Marine and is raising three boys.
