Michael Stewart, DO FACP
Dr. Michael Stewart is a board-certified internal medicine physician and founder of Northwest DPC & Headache in Spokane. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and holds an Advanced Qualification in Headache Medicine from the National Headache Foundation; he previously carried a certification as an HIV Specialist as well.
After years working inside large institutions, he saw how traditional systems could leave care feeling rushed and impersonal, so he opened his own practice to make room for time, relationships, and truly personalized medicine. Teaching has stayed part of his work throughout. He has served as a faculty member and clinician educator at several regional medical schools and an internal medicine residency, including a stint as site director, and he regularly lectures on bedside ultrasound, evidence-based medicine, the physical exam, and diagnostic reasoning.
He grew up in Lander and Ethete, Wyoming, and once helped pay his way through college performing close-up magic, something he credits with teaching him how much wonder and human connection matter alongside facts. These days he unwinds by hiking Spokane's trails with his wife and their dog, building things in the woodshop, or settling into a good book or board game with friends.
