After working in an insurance-based practice model for over 10 years, I began to realize it was challenging to provide the type of care I had envisioned. I had a limited ability to balance patient care along with several other aspects of my life in this model.

I eventually concluded that I was done providing patient care. Now, with so many personal investments with patients, education, and my personal life, I found this difficult to imagine.

I sought out other work opportunities including medical education. During my career change process, I included actively seeking out ways that I could return to practicing patient care.

I came across the DPC model and found hope in this specific healthcare model. I anticipate balance, and most importantly my ability to return to practicing patient care.
