Lizabeth Saint-Hilaire, MD

Dr. Lizabeth Saint-Hilaire, MD is a board-certified pediatrician, founder of One Step Pediatrics, and a dedicated advocate for a more personal, accessible, and relationship-based approach to caring for children and families.

As a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she brings both clinical excellence and a deeply human touch to every stage of childhood, from the newborn period through adolescence.

Dr. Saint-Hilaire hails from Miami, Florida, and was raised in a family with deep roots in medicine. Her mother was an ophthalmologist in Cuba and, after coming to the United States, continued her career as an ophthalmology nurse at Bascom Palmer until retirement. Her father was a general surgeon in Cuba, later became a family medicine physician in the United States, and continues to practice today.

Growing up in a household shaped by service, discipline, and compassion, Dr. Saint-Hilaire developed an early appreciation for the privilege and responsibility of caring for others.

She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami and completed her pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, where she built the strong clinical foundation and thoughtful approach that continue to define her care today.

She speaks both English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate clearly and connect comfortably with a wide range of families.

Dr. Saint-Hilaire is known for her calm and reassuring bedside manner, her guidance for parents, and her ability to build lasting relationships with families over time. She values the privilege of caring for children as they grow, partnering with parents through each stage of development, and creating the kind of trust that helps families feel supported, informed, and confident in their child's care.
