Nasser Mohamed, MD

Nasser Mohamed is a board certified family physician at Osra Medical in San Francisco. He founded the practice in 2019 because he felt the administrative demands of modern medicine were crowding out the relationship between doctor and patient, and he wanted the freedom to practice the way he had always envisioned.

Osra Medical runs without back end ties to insurers or large corporations, which frees him to give patients real time and attention. As a gay man of color and an asylum seeker, he has seen firsthand the barriers many patients face getting care that treats them with dignity, and that experience shapes how he runs his practice today.

He believes everyone deserves to be seen and treated with respect, to access mental health care without fearing retaliation from an employer, and to seek sexual health care without judgment.
