Jessica Lapinski, DO

Dr. Lapinski is the founder and sole physician of Outpatient Family Medicine Transformed.

She decided to pursue family medicine because of her love of diversity.

She relishes the idea of being able to care for the entire spectrum of the population, regardless of age, sex, orientation, race or socioeconomic status.

She believes it is the family physicians' role to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that takes into account the biological, behavioral, and social aspects of health.

Dr. Lapinski's journey toward medicine started at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she graduated in 2016.

She then placed into a top 10 family medicine residency program at Duke University where she served as the Education Chief Resident, Population Health Chief Resident, and received a specialized training concentration in gender affirming care.

She is also certified with the American Board of Family Practice and has completed a fellowship in Primary Care Psychiatry.

She is also passionate about research, especially research that examines healthcare disparities and effective physician-patient interactions.

Throughout her time as a physician she has conducted and successfully published several research studies, presented at a variety of conferences, and is a recipient of an American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) grant.

She was awarded AACOM's Outstanding Medical Education Research Poster and Presentation Award, Best Leadership Project Award for Family Medicine Leads Emerging Leader Institute, AAFP Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education, in addition to several other research awards.

Outside of work and medicine, Dr. Lapinski enjoys creative writing, photography, and traveling.

She also loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her pets Thumper, Willow, and Archer.

Dr. Lapinski speaks Polish and was born and raised in Chicago, IL, to Polish immigrants.
