Jarrod Watson, FNP-C

Jarrod Watson is a family nurse practitioner and founder of Patient First Direct Primary Care in Medford.

He came to healthcare after his time in the U.S. Marines ended in 1999, working first as an EMT before earning his RN in 2003. Most of his nursing career was spent as a charge nurse in the Providence Medford Medical Center emergency department, and he became a family nurse practitioner in 2012. By 2016 he was the first nurse practitioner named medical director of a Providence Medical Group primary care clinic.

Frustrated with how corporate bureaucracy and insurance rules limited access and time with patients, he resigned in December 2023 and opened Patient First Direct Primary Care in 2024 to practice medicine his own way. A third-generation veteran and father of children with special needs, he has a soft spot for military families and patients facing disability. Family, his property, and his Harley-Davidson fill his free time.
