Dr. Lindsay has always wanted to be a doctor. As a young girl, she believed she would grow up to be the town doctor one day. As she went through her medical training, she began to understand the innate resilience in children, the importance of family and community support, and the powerful ability of modern medicine to save children's lives. Her training has provided her with the knowledge needed to help sick children, honor the power of vaccinations, and understand and prescribe the medications to treat a variety of conditions. After a decade of practicing however, she realized she needed more tools in her clinical doctor bag for patients with recurrent illnesses, chronic conditions, or mystery illnesses. She also wanted to be able to offer more specific recommendations on how to stay healthy and not just what medicine to take when a child is sick. She hadn't even had a single course in nutrition in medical school or residency! Her integrative medicine fellowship provided her with just that. She will partner with you to figure out the best ways to keep your child healthy using diet, mindfulness, solid sleep hygiene, and movement activities. When you child is ill, she can delve deep into the possible roots of the illness, and if there isn't a known cause, she will be a steady support, a source of information, and an advocate for your child and family.
