Nelson Simmons

Nelson Simmons is a board-certified family medicine physician and founder of Personal MD in McKinney. He earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center, graduating with honors and finishing in the top half of his class, then completed his specialty training in Family Medicine at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. During medical school he was elected class president and served on the Distinguished Teaching Award Committee.

He's board certified by the American Board of Family Practice Physicians and a Fellow with the American Academy of Family Practice, and he's been recognized as a thought leader in innovative approaches to healthcare in Collin County. Simmons has been in private practice since 2000 and opened Personal MD in 2003.

He's married with three children, Justin, Rylie and Evan.
