Joseph Peila, MD

Dr. Joseph Peila, who goes by Joe, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Pinnacle Internal Medicine in Billings, Montana.

A Shepherd, Montana native, Joe studied cell biology and neuroscience at Montana State University before attending medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. His internal medicine residency took him to the University of Colorado, and he then spent two years as an outpatient internist at Kaiser Permanente in Denver. Returning to Montana in 2017, he joined Billings Clinic as an internist, taught in its internal medicine residency program as a faculty member, and mentored medical students as a clinical educator before opening his own practice. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Joe and his wife, Sarah, are raising four children, and the family spends its free time working their ranch, skiing, hiking, and hunting.
