Dr. Joseph (Joe) Peila grew up in Shepherd, Montana.
He graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience.
He then attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and did his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Peila worked for two years as an outpatient Internal Medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente in Denver.
He moved back to Montana in 2017 and worked as an internist at Billings Clinic until deciding to start his own practice.
Dr. Peila has served as a faculty member for the Billings Clinic Internal Medicine Residency program as well as a clinical educator for medical students.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
In his free time, Dr. Peila enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their four children as well as outdoor activities like working on the family ranch, skiing, hiking, and hunting.
