Susie Damon, MD

Dr. Susie Damon is a board certified pediatrician at Platypus Pediatrics in Centennial, Colorado, and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She fell in love with pediatrics during medical school at the University of South Alabama and completed her residency at Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver. Before opening her own practice, she cared for families as a general pediatrician at Greenwood Pediatrics and later at Kaiser Permanente's Highlands Ranch and Arapahoe clinics.

Across both settings she kept running into the same frustration, that insurance-based practices leave too little time to give patients the quality of care she wants to provide. Direct primary care let her fix that, and she is passionate about giving families better access to their pediatrician at a much lower price.

She lives in Centennial with her husband, two teenage children, and three dogs. Raised on a small farm, she grew up caring for cows and pigs and riding horses, and she still loves getting into the Colorado mountains, especially Grand County, along with reading fiction and traveling to faraway places.
