Dan Hutchinson, MD

Dr. Dan Hutchinson is a board certified internal medicine physician at Polaris Primary Care in Atlanta, with a focus on primary care, lifestyle medicine and geriatrics. He believes great healthcare starts at the intersection of understanding a patient's health and understanding what they actually want out of life, which is why he makes listening the first step in every visit.

Only once he understands what a patient is looking for, he says, can he coordinate well with specialists and shape a plan that fits their body and lifestyle. That approach blends evidence based medicine with attention to nutrition, sleep, mental health and exercise. Dr. Hutchinson studied brain and cognitive science at the University of Rochester before graduating summa cum laude from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, where he was selected for an advanced training track in primary care and geriatrics.

His wife and two daughters keep him laughing at home, and he spends his free time hiking, camping and cooking.
