Ira Pearlstine, MD

Dr. Ira Pearlstine is a board-certified family physician at Preserve Health MD in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Raised in South Carolina, he earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina before completing his family practice residency at the University of South Florida through Bayfront Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He has practiced on the Treasure Coast since 1987, the same year he became board certified, and started the family practice division of the Heart and Family Health Institute in 1989.

Knowing his patients matters most to him, their families, their work, their communities, and how they handle illness or pain. When insurance demands started crowding out that kind of personalized, preventive care, he chose to listen to his patients and make a change. He has served on the board of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians and as a past chairman of St. Lucie Medical Center.

He has two daughters and lives in Palm City with his wife and two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels.
