Ryan Coe, MD
Dr. Ryan Coe, board certified in internal medicine, leads PridePoint Health in Portland. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Washington, then studied medicine at the University of Miami on the Jeannette Newton scholarship. His residency training took place at Oregon Health and Science University, where he spent three years focused on primary care and LGBTQ+ health.
Beyond his board certification, he belongs to the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and holds an HIV specialist credential from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Years spent practicing in a gender affirming specialty clinic shaped how he approaches patients today. As a gay man himself, he understands why patients need a space where they can speak openly without fear of judgment.
Frustrated by how insurance constraints limited the care he could offer, he moved to a direct care model with a smaller patient panel, which led him to found PridePoint Health. A Pacific Northwest native, he brings a real sense of connection to the community he serves, building relationships that let him truly see and hear his patients.
